Shawn and I looked at homes with other REALTORS® for a couple of years with no results. But, with Dreena, she helped us systematically find a home. We were looking at homes the day they came on the market. She was fantastic and “on the ball”!
Dreena feels it’s important to know the market before making a decision...and spent time educating us on the market. After looking at homes for about a month, we found one, and put in an offer. We could not come to terms with the seller, so we sadly walked away. Although, Dreena told us she would find us a better home...and we would be glad that we did not get this one. At the time, we were doubtful.
A couple of weeks later, Dreena called to say she knew of a home coming on MLS® with another company the next day, and it seemed to meet all of our "MUST HAVES". “Would you like to go see it? Let’s get in their first!” , she said. We did...it was OUR DREAM HOME...we put an offer immediately and got the home, before anyone else had a chance to see it.
There were no high pressure tactics...we felt we knew the market and when our dream home came along...we had no hesitation to put an offer immediately. The home inspector she recommended was the same way...meticulous and thorough.
Dreena was very knowledgeable and quick to find us our dream home. She goes over the top for each client! She is the best!

When I decided to relocate from Kapuskasing, ON, and buy a home here in Sudbury, my brother put me in touch with Dreena Gilpin. She had helped them buy their new home and he told me that “Dreena would take care of me”. When I gave her a shout, we had a brief conversation about what I was looking for. I told her that my elderly mother with limited mobility would be living with me. Within a day or two, Dreena called and had a day of house viewing set up for me. She had told me that “you will know when you find the right one”. What impressed me, while we were looking at the houses, was the number of times she would point out things that would not work for my mother, too many stairs, no shower, etc. Being new to the Sudbury area, and not knowing my way around very well, she showed me homes that were close to my work (I hadn’t even considered that!) and that were close to amenities. I will admit that I was becoming discouraged, as we had seen quite a few houses and none of them were to my liking for one reason or another, but Dreena was only positive about this. “Don’t rush into anything”, she said. Well, as it turns out, the very next house was “the one”. I liked it. Dreena was patient when I said I needed to think about it. She was accommodating when I called an hour later to see if she could take me to see it once again, this time with some of my family as backup. Dreena felt that the price was right, perfect in fact, for the area. She then coached me on putting in an offer that she felt the seller would accept without question. For me, all of this happened in one day!! Never once did I feel overwhelmed by the process. If Dreena sensed I didn’t understand something, she made sure I did before moving on to the next step. When the time came for my niece to buy her first home, I put her in touch with Dreena for the very same reasons my brother had recommended Dreena to me. I knew Dreena would be with her every step of the way. Should the day come when I want to sell my home and buy another, IT WILL BE WITH DREENA.

In the Spring of 2010, after being recently widowed, I decided to put my house on the market. I asked a friend for a referral and she gave me Dreena Gilpin’s name. So, with Dreena Gilpin’s help I listed my home. I received an offer the first day and started looking for a new place to call home and start to try to go on with my life.
Well, after looking at several homes, talking with friends and thinking more about the future I realized I was not ready to make the move and was very stressed out about what to do next. I was hesitant to tell Dreena I had changed my mind and was not ready yet, as I did not know her well and was anxious that she might not be too understanding or be upset that I was wasting her time.
My fears and anxiety were VERY much relieved when Dreena, very compassionately said "It’s okay Chris, you have to do what is best for you and maybe it is too soon and we can wait till you are ready". I told her I felt bad for wasting her time and she put my mind at rest and reassured me everything was okay and to take my time.
Well, this Spring I re-listed my house, after purchasing a building lot. With the help of some excellent friends and builders I will be moving into my new home in 1 week!! My home sold with Dreena in about 9 weeks and she was there for me every step of the way, over and above what her job title requires. She patiently answered all my questions in terms I could understand without making me feel inferior or inadequate. I would recommend Dreena to anyone buying or selling or just in need of some good solid advice before making any real estate decisions.
